Travelling from Gatwick

Travelling by bus is the cheapest option

For travellers from Gatwick Airport, bus services provided by National Express are the cheapest (but also the slowest) option. Travelling by train is faster, but more expensive. Two possibilities are Gatwick Express and Thameslink, which is slightly cheaper than Gatwick Express.

National Express

  • Buses leave once an hour at the south terminal and arrive at Victoria coach station
  • Planned journey duration is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes
  • Price for a one way ticket is £ 6,40 (children: £ 3,20)
  • Price for an economy return ticket is £ 11,90 (children: £ 5,95)

Gatwick Express

  • Trains leave every 15 minutes from Gatwick Airport and arrive at Victoria Station
  • Journey duration is 30 minutes (35 minutes on sundays)
  • Price for a one way ticket is £ 14,-
  • Price for a return ticket is £ 25,- (day return ticket £ 14,20)

Thameslink

  • Trains leave several times an hour from Gatwick Airport in the direction of Bedford
  • Main stops are London Bridge and King’s Cross Station
  • Journey duration is approximately 30 minutes to London Bridge and 50 minutes to King’s Cross
