Travelling by the tube is the cheapest option

For travellers from Heathrow Airport, travelling to Central London by London Underground is the cheapest option. There is also the possibility of travelling by bus with National Express. The fastest, but also a more expensive way to travel into London is by train. Two possibilities are Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect, a cheaper but slower alternative to Heathrow Express.

London Underground

• Tubes leave every few minutes
• Journey time is about 45 minutes, depending on your destination
• Price for your journey from Heathrow (in zone 6) to Central London (zones 1 and 2) is £ 4,- (children: £ 2,-)

National Express

• Buses leave at least once an hour from Heathrow Central Coach Station and arrive at London Victoria
• Planned journey time is about 55 minutes
• Price for a one way ticket is £ 10,- (children: £ 5,-)
• Price for a return ticket is £ 15,- (children: £ 7,50)

Heathrow Express

• Trains leave every 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport and arrive at Paddington Station
• Journey time is approximately 15 minutes (plus 8 minutes when travelling from Heathrow terminal 4)
• Price for a one way ticket is £ 14,50 (children: £ 6,70)
• Price for a return ticket is £ 27,- (children: £ 13,-)

Heathrow Connect

• Trains leave about every 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport and arrive at Paddington Station
• Journey time is approximately 25 minutes
• Price for a one way ticket is £ 9,50
• Price for a return journey is £ 19,- (two one way tickets)
