Imperial War Museum
London’s museum on twentieth and twenty-first century conflict
The Imperial War Museum covers conflicts from the First World War until now, especially those conflicts that involve(d) Britain and the Commonwealth. There is a wide variety of exhibits: tanks and aircrafts, but also photographs and personal letters. Permanent galleries in the museum include the Holocaust exhibition and an exhibition on espionage and Britain’s special forces.
Admission to the permanent galleries is totally free. For some (not all) special, temporary exhibitions, a fee is charged.

Opening hours
The Imperial War Museum is opened every day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. (except 24, 25 and 26 December).
