Image: http://www.wikipedia.orgThe Science Museum on Exhibition Road is part of the National Museum of Science and Industry. There are galleries on several subjects, for example the weather, mathematics, power and space. The museum also has an IMAX theatre, where 3D nature and science documentaries are shown. Display items include the first jet engine, some of the earliest steam engines and Francis Crick’s model of DNA.

It’s free to visit the Science Museum, but you do have to pay a fee for the IMAX 3D cinema, the SimEx Simulator Ride and simulations and some special exhibitions.
