Speakers’ Corner

Every sunday in Hyde Park

speakers_corner.jpgSpeakers’ Corner, located in Hyde Park, is an area where public speaking is allowed. Following several riots and demonstrations for democratic reform, public meetings are allowed here since 1872. It has been a traditional site for public speeches and Britain’s main site for protest and demonstration since then. People like Karl Marx, Lenin and George Orwell frequented the place.

Every sunday, anyone can speak to the public here. It’s very interesting to visit the place; you will probably find the speakers either very interesting or very funny.
