Breakfast

Breakfast is cheapest (and often included) at your hotel, B&B or hostel

Typical English BreakfastWhen you’re staying at a hotel or a Bed & Breakfast, it’s cheapest to have your breakfast there, since it is usually included in the overnight fee. Also at youth hostels, breakfast is often included, although it is usually not a very fancy one. Most hotels offer a continental breakfast or a continental breakfast buffet (mostly toast, jam with coffee, tea and orange juice). Some hotels offer a full english breakfast. In other hotels it is possible to ‘upgrade’ your continental breakfast to an english breakfast for about £ 4 - 5.

If your hotel or hostel does not include breakfast, you can buy some bread at a local supermarket the day before (and have breakfast in a park, if the weather is good). Optionally, you can also grab a sandwich with coffee at local coffeeshop.

If you’re staying at a campsite near London, it is of course the cheapest (and most comfortable) option to have breakfast at the campsite and to travel to London afterwards. You can buy food at a local supermarket the previous day. Also, it is often possible to buy fresh bread at the campsite.
